Instructors

Sensei George Papadopoulos is a third (Sandan) degree black belt with the JKF Wado-Kai and has over 12 years of Wado experience.  He is a provincial referee with Karate Alberta and NCCP certified coach. He started training with Sensei Barry Welch and Sensei Nicole Levesque-Welch and very soon Wado became his passion. He was an elite athlete in sailing and represented Greece in multiple national and international events including European & World Championships and the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

Sensei Koralia Spanidi is a third (Sandan) degree black belt with the JKF Wado-Kai and has over 12 years of Wado experience. She started training with Sensei Barry Welch and Sensei Nicole Levesque-Welch when she moved to Canada from Greece. Her attention to detail makes classes technical and fun at the same time. She was a competitive swimmer and sailor with multiple national wins under her belt. Sensei Koralia is NCCP certified and a huge fan of Long term Athlete Development (LTAD).
